Laundry, mopping, and dishwashing are negotiable. I do not do gardening. I do not do sweeping. I will not make a good homemaker (*GAG* X_X)...and a merry christmas and happy new year to one and all. May you all have better ones than me.
I've got four minutes before pulling myself off the lovely radiation of iBook-sama to do the dishes...*whimper* I think Mom has laundry for me to sort as well.
January 3 come quickly!!!
Oh yeah, thanks for agreeing to my demands benj'niisama! *chirpy* Happy holidays to you too! O=)
Thy time is nigh....ugh, hello Mr. Scrubpad...

Background Music: the thoughts of 'die oniisama, die' running through my head...kyaaa!
I have not been updating since my mom is on a summer cleanup spree and has forced my sister and I to learn the ways of the household. This is my first time in the whole week I am allowed to sit on the comp for hours on, without my mom snarling at me and shoving the broom/dustpan/mop/dishrag and sneering "Work, now. Off computer or no computer AT ALL..." I owe email to a handful of people. Please wait till after the new years, minna, i beg, i plead...;_;
2001 come quickly! January 3, come along now!
'Die Oniisama, die'? Well, some nasty boy has just spatted the last name of a close friend of mine and linked me to it on his blog. No, I'm not flattered - I am mortified with humiliation. O_O But I still linked to his blog. Cause its the season after all.
You're gone after new year's, benj'niisama. >=)
I could churn out with more events from the past week and the wonderful day I had today with my close friend and the most adorable little girl I've ever encountered...but that'll be for another time, when the mom gets out of the house and leaves me with nothing to do.
So there. Next time. Maybe. Ja!

*blinks* Another otaku in Indonesia perhaps...? 'At Home in Jakarta'?
Just a random observation. ^^ Oh yes, the owner of that blog has a LOVELY Ruroni Kenshin page. :D

No music
Linkest today~ surfing around for lyrics to the Disney film, 'Basil the Great Mouse Detective' and was hoping for romanizations/translations to the Cantonese version of 'Eyes on Me'.
I found something like Japan Lyrics for Chinese songs, though unfortunately, no romanizations. Interesting enough though: Chinese Pop Lyrics Archive
Has anyone really watched and liked 'Basil the Great Mouse Detective'? It's a much underrated Disney film, and from what I observed - it didn't do very well commercially. The public doesn't know what it's missing. For more information on the film, go here.
The songs are catchy too. I downloaded them off napster, I know Disney throws a fit when people put up fanpages...so the best I could find is this lyrics page.
*sings along to 'Let Me Be Good To You'...xD

Now Listening to: An Orchaestration of various Broadway tunes...nice, actually
Okay, so Haido-sama from L'arc~en~ciel is getting married. A bit of a pain, but I must move on. My affections are more concentrated on uhm, other people (*gasp*) and bishonen. Keening and wailing over Haido can be fun though (yes I am pathetic :P)...and scenarios of crashing into the wedding is much much fun to think about (Evil sis-chan~ where art thou~?)
Brings to mind the layout...Peorth, the sassy goddess from the Oh! My Goddess! manga, sprinkling her speech with French (in the Viz version anyway), and just being plain appealing. She was one of the last characters I had an affection for before I was shipped off to Indonesia...and got immediately cut off from anime and manga (--'). 'Oui, C'est La Vie' - literally meaning 'Yes, Oh Well' I nixed off the Laruku song, 'C'est La Vie'. Jpop-sounding tune, rather bubblegumish (thats a new word...), but catchy.
Dammit spaceports - why is it so difficult for my pictures to load here?! *whaps them silly* O_o' First they screwed up my background so I had to revert to a plain bg, then now they won't show my main pic! Arggh! Where in the world can I store those graphics?
Manila was funfun, Did I mention? Thank you so very much to Beng, Wami and all those who helped with and came to the Pinoy Otaku christmas party!!! Thanks for bearing with my ramming into other people, I was just so overjoyed! I really had a blast - thank you again! =D Oh yes, that reminds me...must download the mp3 of Animetal's take on the Voltes V and Cutey Honey themes...heehee!
Tin-san~ too bad you werent able to come. :( Beng invited me for lunch on...Sunday, was it? But I was out shopping with my mom. Dang. Oh well - congrats to yer grandparents!
ADRIAN! *light bap* Pika mi havent seen you online for so long! I wasn't able to get your particulars so we'd be able to meet up when I was in Manila. :[ 'Di bale na, next time lalang...depends if my mom gets that pissed off at the goverment.
In Manila I witnessed the Erap impeachment trial on TV. Yay to Emma Lim, for keeping her cool and not doing any ridiculous dramatics on stand. At least someone is being sensible, as opposed to such quotes as "May we please have a recess so we can label the evidence?" or the request for a Tagalog translator in the courtroom. My mom was most especially appaled at the senators begging the public to understand if they fall in asleep during the proceedings...
Those who aren't Filipino and not know of the impeachment trial must gawking at this in disbelief or laughing their arses off, thinking I've made up a hilarious political joke. I kid you not, the quotes were said - they're printed in papers, they were heard on radio and heard from the television. With politicians like that, who needs comedians?
Arguably, our senate has comedians turned politicians...but I digress. Hmn, I think I've been reading Jessica Zafra too much...
"We moved from Erap...to Gus Dur! The number 2 reason to doubt democracy!" -- My Mom
Oh yes, we must always root for a lesser evil, ne?
I hear Chikara uttering 'Political Bullshit' while threatening to maul me with a hammer. So now, I'll shut up on above subject. Sorry Chi. ^.^
I've been getting a lot of stuff from the mailing lists I'm on. Sadly, since I'm smack in the middle of an animanga droughted country (lest you have money, understand Bahasa Indonesian, or better yet, bear Bahasa Indonesian dubs in anime...even my fellow mecha-otaku Indonesian classmate dislikes those dubs!), I've been very out of date with anime and whatever discussions surrouding it. Last few anime I saw and understood was Martian Successor Nadesico, the first two episodes, and the second to last episode of Knight Hunters (Weiss Kreuz in Filipino). Kya, its such a waste - I religiously taped Knight Hunters, but I dont have the last two episodes! Dammit! :/ I overnighted at Chikara's house, and watched that blasted second to last ep (eww, Sakura Tomoe --'), but she was horrified to discover that her last episode was missing. She later found out that she had lent it to a friend, who has yet to return it. Oh well.
Last anime I've seen but barely understood: Crayon Shin Chan. The animated antics were cute, Shin Chan annoying his dad with the noise and playing with his floppy disk in the bath tub. *lol*
My most recent anime merchendise: Clowcards. For the heft price of 500,000 rupiah (the price has thrown me into debt till 2001. I DID warn Mom not to bring me to Plaza Indonesia...^.^'). This was a couple of months ago - I was in Kinokuniya Bookstore, and I swear - the Clow was calling me. I was staring at it open-mouthed...and rushed off to get my usually-sensible sister, who I instructed to hit me repeatedly if ever I get the urge to splurge excessively on manga and the happy little things there.
Then the clow started calling her.
Me: *whimpering* I shouldn't get it, 500,000 bucks?!
Mica: *gawking* Get it.
Me: I can get those Gundam Wing media books instead--
Mica: Forget those! Get that! Get that!
So we did, after a wee bit of begging from Mom who immediately doubled over at the price ("HALF A MIL FOR CARDS?!").
The clowcards are still in the plastic shopping bag, and tucked amongst the manga on my bookshelf. Ironically, its Mica who gets it out and looks it over more than I do.
Sometime last week I saw an actual, stainless steel knife...from Vampire Princess Miyu. I am unfamiliar with what she calls it, but it's that small knife she usually carries when battling Shinma - I saw one. It had a leather case, had a small trading card of Miyu to go with it...
I fled from the window display before it could get to the first syllable of my name.
Last Manga I bought: Card Captor Sakura 5, in Indonesian. It had the Sleeping Beauty act - where Sakura's the prince and Li as Sleeping Beauty. I couldn't resist. Sides, it was cheap (albeit quality - somewhat grainy newsprint, soft cover publication), and it may boost my Bahasa skills a bit.
Okay, so I cheated - I had my Indonesian friends translate. My friend had a ball at Touya gawking as Sakura bent down, readying herself to kiss Li. xD They laughed a little too hard during the bus ride back to school as they flipped through the manga.
But all in all, I miss having a regular dose of anime and manga. It just isn't the same here as opposed to a more easy access in Manila...especially now, I bet. *sigh*
A more serious note has dawned upon me. Mom left the country with a major frustration. It isn't the goverment, it wasn't with my being out till midnight with friends or whatnot - its because of the 'relatives'. My mom only told Mica and I a few days after arrival in Jakarta after Manila, and this was after we both prodded her when she was paining over the budget. The story she told was not pretty, and it brought tears of anger to my eyes. I will not go into detail as to why it did - but here is where I will vent since its one of the few places I can.
If you want to see a glimpse of this angstfest of mine, just highlight the paragraph below...
[ If I knew what my mom's SISTER, and her family did to her while in Manila - I would've shot this in front of their faces. Maybe in front of their CHILDREN. How dare you, you teach your two kids not to cheat and steal but you dare do that to my mother? You are a part of the family - we are supposed to trust you with material goods. Never mind if you may be broke, or starving, or whatever, you should not just pick off what we asked you to guard. You could've told my mom - a letter maybe, you knew our address! It was several months without word from ANY of you. Thats my mom's blood and sweat in what you stole, that is my faith in your family crushed. You're my relatives - I'm supposed to look up to you, my sister was supposed to look up to you, your kids adore you! You are regular church goers who hear or read of the Ten Commandments and God's goodwill every once a week!
Disgust just doesn't cut it. I am filled with shame and hate of what you've done, I don't know how I'll look upon you two the next time we meet. I know I'll probably be forced upon with niceties, as ordered my mom who's thankfully more patient and merciful than I'll ever be.
I feel sorry for my cousins now. How would they look upon you two if ever they find out? What would they say?
Better yet, if they didn't know...and since they have both your bloods, I wonder if they'll make the same mistake. Yes, that same sin. By your daughter or son. Who's fault will it be, huh? Who set that example? ]
End rant.

Now Playing: Mou Nakanaide from Ranma 1/2
New layout! Yay! Nothing great, but at least it's a little more pleasing to look out that the archived one. Oh yeah, no da - I archived. Rejoice y'all.
Summer break for me! Hail Aussie schools! And I got back from Manila - the trip was wonderful. I miss my friends there already. Hi Wami, Misats, Chi, Mars, Meg, benj, etcetera...oh yes - notice a few more links here and there? Uhuh, that too.
At the moment, my head is buzzing with html tags in desperation to give this blog a facelift. I'll babble on more coherent stuff next time over. Ja ne.
